Mission
Hope’s Hunger Ministry seeks to raise congregational awareness of the need for their involvement, commitment, and advocacy in issues related to local and global hunger, poverty, and social injustice. We envision a congregation that believes that
- all God’s people are precious and worthy of dignity
- love of neighbor requires an integration of the spiritual and social dimensions of our lives
- God calls us to follow God’s example
Goals
- To support our Temecula food pantry
- To work together with other faith based and social service agencies to address local hunger and poverty
- To reach out to the needy to include their voices in seeking solutions to their problems
- To promote congregational participation in projects of Lutheran World Relief and ELCA World Hunger

- Angel Tree Christmas gifts
- Thanksgiving dinner boxes
- Events with Project T.O.U.C.H.(Together Our Unity Conquers Homelessness) to support on-going efforts to overcome homelessness
- Collection of coats, and other warm articles for those in need
- Provide twice monthly dinners for cold-weather shelter guests (December-March)
